My first car was my dads old Mk1 Capri 1600 GT-XLR (OJA 375G), according to the DVLA it was taxed until a couple of years back, so may be dead now and not yet recorded or just stored, dont know what I would do if I found it but anyone else get slightly obsessed with locating an old motor ?

I think with the Capri is that my dad bought it in 73 and had it until 88 when he gave it me, I ran it for a year and sold it to get a newer car as it needed work, it obviously got some as it got to 2008 sill taxed so must have been MOT'd.

Anyone else had a pang of grief when you found out that a much loved old motor is now dead ?

Anyone spotted their old car ? our very tidy 94 850 T5 turned up on Ebay several years later looking exactly the same.

Anyone bought their old motor back ?

Anyone got a car they dont need, but just cant bring themselves to sell ?

When I look through the classifieds I see if my old S, 350i or Chimaera are for sale. I would love to know how they are getting on.....

Yes. I would love to get back my Dads first TA22 Celica. Looks like it died sometime in the late 90's unless stored somewhere.

My dad sold his 525ix about five years ago.

According to the dvla it hasn't been taxed since 2006.

I found it first on ebay about two years ago at a car dealer as something they wanted to clear, then I found it again about a year ago parked up outside a bmw breakers about two miles from our house where it has sat since. It looks pretty knackered so I imagine its going to be stripped for parts.

Just an old Turbo'd Xr2. Not worth much but still annoying that someone took it
