Sticker removal

Hi all,

My car has a shopping list on both of the doors, The stickers have been on for over 8 years that I know of so I am a little bit worried about the paintwork when they come off. Any tips or ideas? I am a little worried that the list will still be visible when the stickers are gone.

Paint may be different shade under the stickers when removed.. ?

Have the panels mopped when the stickers are off. It might remove any colour difference.

What colour is the car and is it metallic?

I think it may even look cool with a different shade.

I bought my 200SX with the shopping list on both doors but since the car is very dark and the stickers are black it doesn't bother me. It's not too bad if it's not in your face and on VW Golf
