Things i didn't like.

Why do they have to smash so much stuff up? The reliant into the reliant was pointless. I did however laugh at the rest of that sketch. And the lacetti even though granted it's crap, they didn't even take out those buckets, i guess i just don't like a waste. Anyone think the same

Ps Hammond is a porky hamster now

I too couldn't understand why the Lacetti wasn't stripped of the buckets and even the roll cage.

And not being allowed to sell it, because it's been thrashed around a track?

Why?

Could possibly have been used for a track car? Banger racer?

I couldn't see them in the crushed result so how do you know they weren't taken out?

You really think with the amount of money TG generates they're bothered about a bit of scaffolding and a couple of seats?

Hell - they probably left them in specifically to wind up some car Forums...

When Clarkson did the review of the BMW X6 last series, how much money was wasted on travelling? Australia to see if the glove box still worked etc..

Not one to moan about these things but it did get me thinking

Surely the cage and seats will have been past their sell by date so effectively 'unsafe'?

If you want to complain about anything how about the whole get a load of 'celebs' in at once thing? Exactly the same as the last time they switched cars.

All of those segments were filmed while they were off doing Top Gear Live so the cost was pretty minimal, amusingly.

I'd imagine the car has proved its worth and done its job. Surely you'd also be annoyed if you saw it on autotrader - the bbc trying to make some money out of something that was probably gifted? Finally, front wishbone let's go 20 miles after private sale and the new owner ploughs in to a school bus of gifted children... the press would have a field day

Take the roll cage out? Not sure theres a big market for Lacetti rollcages. I can see your point with wasting money though.

I didnt actually laugh at it, it really didnt "excite" me seeing a car roll.

Once was enough, not to keep going it for the whole sketch

Considering it's the BBC, I'd agree if the show couldn't be liscenced out to TV stations all over the world, making any cost of production neglible in terms of the revenue they can take back in.

I've heard TG actually is money-making, which would be unusual for a Government funded entity hehe

Now, you see, I laughed every time the Robin Reliant fell over. Every time.

It can't have been anyone's pride and joy or they wouldn't have been able to buy it. You don't sell your P&J.
