Overpayment of Speeding fine. Fact or Urban Myth?
Discussion
Word is that if you overpay a speeding fine by say £1, The system will send you a refund (£1), which you do not cash, this aparently, prevents the system from generating the next part of the process which asks for your licence (for the addition of points). Supposedly this works in the US. Does anyone actually know if it works here in the UK? or is it one of those urban myths?

That is a US site though - has anyone actual evidence of what happens if you overpay a fine here - do they send it back and ask for the right amount, or just cash it?edo said:
