I'm running a conference soon and Sir Stirling Moss is the keynote.

He'll be taking questions from the moderator and from the audience and I thought it would be good to have some insightful questions from PH. It's a mobile phone conference and I don't expect the audience to be particularly au-fait with Motorsport, let alone have heard of Jenks or 722.

I'll post replies to any of the questions he answers.

Mail me if you want more details, on the conference I won't plug it here.

The replies have got to be better than those I got from my friends. One of whom suggested that he went on that BBC genealogy programme just so they could call it "Who Do You Think You Are? Stirling Moss"

Even though it's a phone conference, one of the other talks is on the design process for the Focus.

What has been his favourite motoring moment thus far? Be it a race/road-drive/something else.

Last tank of fuel, what car would he choose and where would he drive it?

Favourite road car and why? (BMW 507 iirc)

Favourite race car and why?

Favourite race circuit and why?

"Would you and Fangio have won Le Mans in 1955 without the Levegh crash?"
"Do you think you could've beaten Fangio in 1956 if M-B hadn't pulled out of Grand Prix racing?"
"Do you regret your BTCC comeback with Audi?"
"Would you have gone head-to-head with Clark at Lotus, had the opportunity arisen?"

Well there's a question. Who would Stirling invite to a long dinner?

Is it true that he was expelled in the sixth form from the ISC (Imperial Services College, now Haileybury public school) for driving a beaks (teachers) car across the academic quadrangle??

Who's James Corden and what happened? smile I'm a big fan of Patrick Stewart and Stirling Moss, so I'm intrigued smile

For questions, how about:

"Do you think Formula One could be made more interesting for the fans to watch, and if so how would you change it?"

"What racing car would you like to compete in that you never got the chance to, of any era right up to today?"

"If you could race in any season of motorsport from history, which championship would it be, what year and what car would you choose to drive?"

Corden asked Mossy if he enjoyed flying the Enterprise as much as racing.
