Yup! One of those microfiber wash mitts. They hold a surprising amount of water/suds and, being as it is fitted like a glove, there is less chance of dropping it and picking of grit.

Yep, why go to all the trouble of scratching your paint to buggery when for a tenner an east european migrant with a sponge that's been dropped on the floor more times than Katie Price's knickers can do it for you! wink

Put on best BBC voice - "Test have shown that the flappy auto wash is less prone to scratch than either hand wash or worst of all those hand brush washes"!

I have to agreee, that dam brush wash near me left it looking like a cat fight had taken place on the bonnet, and the jet gun killed both the electric mirrors!!

Current car is stty as hell!

£2 in ASDA at the moment total bargin.I bought 5 of them. Also not only do they trap the dirt up into the mitt away from the car, they are very soft and the flourescent colour of the mitt shows up the dirt so when you rinse you can check it's all off before you wipe the car again.

Because you leave the car in the car park and go do whatever you need to do in town and come back to a clean car. Works for me, but then I would rather drive my car than clean it.

+1000000

You can't go wrong with these. A number of companies do these; I got mine from http://cleanyourcar.co.uk for about 7 quid, along with a load of other car cleaning stuff. Makes washing the car a pleasure.

Strewth! So assuming a car each (me and the OH) washed an average once per week (in reality it's more - certainly for mine) that's about a thousand quid!

Er, no.

(Plus I enjoy cleaning them. And I do a better job. And I don't spray acid st stuff on my wheels).
