After looking at pics of cars people choose to have as a track/race car, got me thinking about cars that you dont normally see on a track.

What would you use?

Im still undecided

I think you need to give us a bit more to work with.

Thinking about it, I suspect what you mean is a track day car rather than race, as all races have regs which sort of limit and dictate the cars used. And I suspect you mean something less obvious than an e30 BMW, MX5 or Pug 205 type of thing???

In that case, anything can be used. Pickup trucks or Landys would seem a fun option. Or something rarer like a Reliant kitten maybe?

Now stickered up

And this too was built as a drift car but will also be trackdaying, hillclimbing & sprinting for fun

You need something that's likely to give you some handling excitement. So, anything guarenteed to oversteer. Which brings us to things with cart springs in the rear end & thus to US cars.

Or you could have fun with understeer & go for a Peugeot 305 van, guarenteed to corner on it's sidewalls or your money back.
