I am considering importing my Toyota Landcruiser Prado Grande to the UK and with this regard, wondering if anyone can tell me the following :

1. When you put the vehicle through the first test in order to get a UK Registration can the odemeter reading be recorded as kilometers instead of miles, as this would mean that the odemeter would not need to be adjusted to show miles travelled.

2. In subsequent annual MOT tests, can the odemeter reading continue to be recorded as kilometres and not miles.

3. Does anyone know how to replace a speedometer clock fascia on a Landcruiser to convert the km reading only to km and mph. I have been told that you can get a complete conversion fascia but unsura how this is accessed without causing damage to the dash instrument cluster.

Would appreciate any guidance on any of the above.

1) yes it can be recorded in Km on the MOT..... My Mazda Bongo Friendee is....
2) Yes.....just make sure the MOT chap/chapess is aware that it is a Km reading
3)not sure on the Lancruiser for fitting but the Mazda has a MPH speedo face overlay.....or the speedo can be chipped to read speed in MPH...
