Why are most (or at least 'many!) 330is auto in Msport trim but manual in SE..? surely that's completely the wrong way around?

I was browsing Mitsubishi Evo Xs and most seem to be autos too.

No, but many people will order the M-sport purely for the badge-willy-waving, and the auto because they have no interest in driving. Perhaps more people would spec the SE with an auto box too were it not more expensive.
