One day I'm going to need a car, but it doesn't have to be practical.

So what's the cheapest, but closest to a Caterham you can get? (Think under £2000, but closer to £1000 wink )

'E were. In fact 'e fought the Pinder of Wakefield near here, and is buried in the grounds of Kirklees Priory. If you believe the books. the village of Robin Hood is just NE of the M62/M1 interchange.

Closest to a Caterham for a Yorkshireman would be Ginetta (Garforth) but I guess the OP didn't mean that biggrin

Nothing under £4000, enough to make the spiders in my wallet wince!

Then I got distracted by this:

Remove the Nazi stickers and that'd be brilliant!

Ecky Thump is Lancastrian anyway. Most of what people learn to be Lancastrian is from Coronation Street, where many of the actors are from Yorkshire, or from Emmerdale, where the Dingle family mostly talk with a Lancastrian accent for some unknown reason. No wonder forriners are confused! The comedy 'T' isn't actually voiced as a T but as a glottal stop. As in "Am purrin sum fyooil in 'car". To confuse matters further, around Baarnsley they over-emphasise the T.

Meanwhile, back on subject.. Being the geeky sort, I would go with the DIY fabrication approach. However that still leaves the matter of sourcing the nose cone, mudguards etc. They Yahoo Locost group used to be very good for this stuff, but seems quiet now, presumably moved on to a better and more private forum http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/locost/messa...
