Black Car enthusiasts?

Here's an odd one, but something that I've been thinking about for a good long while.

I very, very rarely see Black guys at car shows and have never, ever seen another Black guy at a trackday. Similarly there doesn't seem to be many black members on the car forums that I visit, or see them in cars that I'd associate with car enthusiasts, which has got me wondering, how many Black car enthusiasts do we have here on PH?

I know, I know, race doesn't matter - I agree, but it is something that was always bugged me.
I'm Black myself and sometimes think that I'm the only one .

I thought similar this morning, but with racing drivers, a tiny percentage seem to be black.

You'll see plenty on fans in the German car clubs, BMW, Audi, VW etc, but you are right, but most don't go in for trackdays.

There's a chap on here who posts in the lounge who's 50 odd and looks about 30 and like a famous person, he's definitely black so that makes two.

Me too. I was going to enlighten everyone with the fact that the 'silver phenomenon' that hit the UK never happened in Germany and that black is the prevalent colour for motorway munchers.

Nope, and the only reason I clicked on the thread was so I could post my Passat is black.....................

It is an interesting thread though in some respects, because I often see black guys who are really interested in their cars.

The German car scene/forums/meets attracts a lot of Asian and Black enthusiasts.

There is less black people in the country, so percentage wise it may be the same amount of black people as white people that go to meets? Pro rata?

I see quite a few around London.

Contractor who does work at my station is a West Indian guy. Bike mad. Rides a GSXR 1000.

He comes in for a minor 5 minute job on an escalator; we end up chatting for at least another hour about bikes
