What to buy? And what's it worth?

Hi all

First post so be gentle with me...

The time has come to buy something a little more family orientated as I have an 18 month old and another on the way, the question is what to buy?? I'm looking for something that can cope with 2 adults, 2 kids and has a boot big enough to take a double pushchair without compromising driving enjoyment. I've looked at beemers etc. but they don't excite me, no offence intended to any BMW owners who may read this post. I have a budget of around 10K so lets see your suggestions.....

Also, I currently own a Phase 2 Renault Sport Clio 172, 51 plate with only 13k on the clock and the sale of this will help finance the new car. The problem I have is that the prices for these seems to vary where ever you look, have seen them for sale for 2.5k up to 5/6k. It has plenty of history and is in 'as new condition' with only minor scraps to the lips on the alloys from parking and very slight signs of wear on the edges of the leather on the seats and is 100% original (no mods what so ever) so what price can I realistically expect to get for it?
