Hello, i bought my self a scooter from SilverLake scrapyard, which was stolen and recovered as they sayd, it had no keys and V5 . I payed for it, got a paper with all numbers ,VIN and so on... i sent out documents to dvla the V62 form.. but today i was curious and did a HPI check, and it showed

Plate Transfer There is no record of this registration being involved in a plate transfer.
Scrapped There is no record of this registration being scrapped.
Exported There is no record of this registration being exported.

Insurance Write-off This registration was recorded as a Category C write-off on 2 Mar 2001.
Vehicle I.D. Check There is no record of this registration being subject to a Vehicle Identity Check.
So, my point is. It shows that it has been stolen, but it doesnt show that it has been recovered? Is it just- they sold me a stolen bike, police will confiscate it,ill get my money back since i have the paper that i bought it from them. Or ill recieve new V5 , tax, mot, insure and drive happily ever after?
Thank you for your smart ideas!
Cheers

Your fine to use it.

You can always contact the Police they sometimes (forget) to remove such markers and if your lucky sometimes they clear them off the HPI register too.

Er, if you really have bought stolen goods you'll lose the goods and your money. You would be left trying to get your money back from the seller, who you would now know to be dodgy.

I'd quietly try a bit more digging, but I'm not sure how best to proceed.

Silverlake have been around for ages, they won't be trying to pull a fast one. This is nothing more than an admin issue.
