Just seen this in the news, and can't see it anywhere on PH (Search function doesn't seem to work) - and I think it looks fantastic. Here's to hoping for a revival of MG!

mmmm, rather Jag XF/Mondeo in terms of outline shape.

No pics either, just a drawing from one angle.

Wish them luck, but I'll believe it when I see it.

They had one at Goodwood and to be honest it didn't look that great in the flesh....

I dare say it will get them, in time. I doubt they'll sell any until the diesel comes along, though.

Wibbling about that is no different to wibbling about Aston Martin or Jaguar.

Sorry, no. They barely registered on my "Do I Care? o'meter". I just happened to be passing where a few of the cars were parked and some deep memory of reading an Autocar feature a while was stirred - then quickly buried again.

Lotus still have a factory, people, expertise, and all the manufacturing, design and creating in Norfolk (last time I visited).

I didn't take a close look, but it was different enough to make me think "What's that?".

Not horrible from a distance from the outside, but not exciting enough to make me search out the MG stand smile

I actually had a chat with the chap on the MG stand about the MGTF.

To be more accurate, I asked if it was still powered by the K-Series. He replied that it had an N-series which was a K with all the problems solved. He then looked a bit upset when I asked if it would fit in the Elise.... smile

Less than 14K new makes it a cheap little car for Ms Mid-Life crisis.

And also the basis of a cheap one make race series?

That's funny, I thought they bought their engines from Toyota and most other drivetrain and many other parts (mirrors, brakes, etc) from other companies.....

ok, actually I think this looks quite good. But if I'm honest it looks a little too concept car. I'd be amazed if it actually looks as good as this when in production, which is a shame. But still wish them all the best, really quite like the colour too! biggrin

MG still have a factory, people, expertise, some of the manufacturing, design and creating in Birmingham. In my book that makes them at least as British as Bentley.

Powered by a 158bhp, 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine its hardly going to be quick.

Another MG flop, I hope it doesn't happen.
