Hand Break seizzed pls help

My Hand brake is not wurking. I changed the drum an the shoes, and now no handbrake action happens round corners when I yank it up, so my girlfriend woundt frenchme when I droped her off at school.

Help pls I am stuck, the self adjuster does not seem to be self adjusting.

Any idea how to fiddle the adjuster to work, or wot I could have done wrong ?
