I think Renault have lost their way a little recently, the facelifted Clio doesn't look as nice as the old one, and the new Megane certainly isn't pretty (all IMHO, obivously), but they definitely seem to have nailed it with the new design direction previewed in this new concept:

Okay, the concept is some mincy electric hybrid noncemobile, but i can see that as a small Alpine coupe, mid engined 2.0 i4 Turbo, costing c.£25k....

Nice, but they could loose the R8 Sideblades...they dont look great on the R8, let alone this.

Funky doors though.

Interesting assymetric doors. Looks well, though the rear end could be 'cleaner' imo. Smashing design though.

That looks terrible, like a cheap Chinky copy of Mazda and Citroes concept cars from the past five years

Aaha! It's got an anus, taking the Megane IIs arse to a whole new level...

The rest of it looks alright, but I'll echo the above comments, the Clio facelift is fugly...

As above, I'm not a fan of the, er, rear end, but the rest looks good.

The new Renaultsport Cabrio thingy sounds like a bit of a result for the girlie-supermini-derived-convertible market too.

This is a concept to show off the new design language.

So you can imagine the detailing, nose, lines etc to make it onto future models.

Imagine it with normal doors, no silly sideblade graphics, and a normal rear end, and it'd make a very very good looking coupe IMO...

Don't like the wheels, dont like the bulbous rounded rear arches, don't like the doors, don't like its harris, don't like the front lights that look like acne/chicken skin.

Personally, i think the front looks ok but the rest is hideous!
Cant see the point as if it ever goes to production, it'll never look like that anyway!

I don't think it would be a completely different car now would it? The doors would still look the same closed, they'd just open in a normal way. The side profile would be the same, and the rear would just look a little tidier.

Wow another pointless concept car. How do some of you guys get so excited about stuff that'll never see the light of day, and in some cases may only be a Photoshop in the first place.

Real cars for me please.

Okay so it's a concept but a few hasty minutes in Photoshop show it in a more production-friendly guise:

I for one would love to see it made...

That looks a little too similar to a Saturn Sky, albeit with a Renault badge and a roof.

So would I, but is it really likely?
