Mini Italian Job Edition - Info Needed!

Hi,

I have a deposit on a Mini Italian Job Edition, and was wondering if anyone could give me any background info on the edition itself?

Just how they were different to the normal cars, and how many were made?

Ummmmmm, you've already paid the deposit but are researching the car now?

Not in the sense of the specific car itself, just interested to know about the model itself. The car's great don't get me wrong, just interested!

I think they were only made in 92 and only 1000 made for the UK IIRC, and around the same for Italy

They used the same 1275 engine as any other 1.3 models, and i think they were only available in red, blue, green or white. Other than that there are only minor details that distinguish it.

I guessed you weren't asking about 'your' car but if I were buying one (and I've considered a Mini many times, still am) I might do my research on the model before handing over my shekels.

Then again a bit of impulse buying can be fun. Or so my missus tells me

Wasn't much of an impulse buy, I did my necessary research on that car, but didn't research the of the model as I saw it to be less important really!

Just the more trivial facts such as those above that I was after...

Don't see the problem, if they want a Mini, this one fits the bill and is within budget why run the chance of missing out because it's a limited model that you know nothing about?
