I don't but I understand why you'd want one. Before I bought my current toy car (a crashed Caterham requiring a rebuild), I was toying with the idea of a 1968 Lotus Elan +2. As it happened I never found a 1968 version. Both 1967 and 1969 cars appeared for sale but never a 1968. If I'd found one, I probably would have bought that instead of the Caterham.

I don't own A classic the same age as myself - currently have three smile

1973 Triumph Spitfire (~2 months older than me).
1972 Triumph 2.5PI (~6 months older than me).
1972 Triumph 2.5PI (not sure but skulking on a driveway awaiting restoration and a V8 engine - because you can).

My buddy has a Triumph 2000 (about his age) and it is fantastic, really low miles and is mint, even has the plastic on the insides of the doors.

It must have been garaged all it's life, it is like new.

I'd love to own something like that and it wasn't expensive at all.

I am two years older than mine, does that count? They were both being built when I was born.

Funnily enough, so am I.

Though my classic is a bike...

The bike dates from 1981, I come from '79.

My Formula Ford is an '84 car. It would have been built at the end of the previous year for delivery in early '84.

My 944 is the same age as me. It's a 1983 model and is currently undergoing a bit of a restoration to get it back on the road.

Of the two of us, my 1976 Esprit S1 is a mere spring chicken. I, however, am still able to move around under my own power. biggrin
