Hi all,

It's been a few years since i flogged a car privately, as i've traded the last 2 in, and the one before that was an old snotter. The last time i sold anything of value was about 8 years ago, and I used autotrader.

I ended up getting a whole load of tts ringing me up who wanted to charge me £70 to "put me in touch with a confirmed buyer".... so i put them "on hold"

This time i've had a pistonheads advert up for a few days, but i haven't even had a sniff. Should i go back on autotrader? Is pistonheads a much smaller coverage?

Ebay, no reserve auction if you really want to sell it.

I'm not THAT desperate! It's worth about £20k, based on other adverts, parkers, etc.

It's just that i would have expected either some silly offers, tyre kickers, or Nigerian multi-millionaires to have contacted me by now.

'A few days' isn't long enough; give it a couple of weeks or so before reviewing your options.

Do you think i should splash out on a premium advert? does it make a difference?

I await the derisory comments about skimping on £15 to sell a £20,000 car.....

Don't want to do that and then have to pay again on autotrader, is the thing
