insurance info please

Hi everyone,

Just after a little info on the following scenario.

I had a little incident on Sunday where a lady tried to squeeze through a gap that wasnt there and scratched my rear arch it was very minor and i said to her to give me a fiver for paint and say no more,she refused and said to go through insurance so i did..i rang them and told them what happened
In the meantime we have both agreed to leave it alone and sort it out privatly i informed my insurance and they say they need her conformation of this and the case can be closed but in the meantime i have had a quote for renwal saying i have lost my 7 yrs no claims,and insurance has gone up £300,
I have asked the woman to contact my insurance company to tell them we have sorted it,she said she will but i have afeeling she cant be bothered she told me just leave it so that tells me she hasnt rang hers or she would be in the same boat and want to sort it also.
where do i stand and what can i do ive lost all my NCB and its going to cost me for something i havent claimed for !
