Bonnet....

If this is the wrong forum please feel free to move it for me.

I am in Scotland and need to get a pick up and delivery for a Bonnet in Newcastle. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and what the best option would be.

Drive there, fit the bonnet, ring the local scrap man to collect yours?

Other than that, might be worth having a look at shiply for couriers.

That is a good idea ncot. Never thought of that. Saying that though I am in Central Scotland so the petrol cost down and up must outweigh the cost of delivery. It is a Saab Bonnet so it isn't a light weight.

I got an MGF bonnet into a Fiat Panda and it only cost me £30 in Petrol to get to Glasow and back (to Norfolkshire). Good fun as well. smile

You don't even need to ring the scrap man most bonnets will fold up easily (hence couriers being a bad idea) and fit in the boot.

What is the cost of delivery though ? You've not found anyone yet, right ?

Seriously, drive down youself, if your car does 2 MPG then borrow a cheapo from someone. You can hire a diesel car for about £25 a day y'know. Good luck wink
You'd probably struggle to fit a Saab bonnet to a hired diesel Vectra/Mondeo etc... Plus think of the questions when you hand back said hire car, minus its bonnet!

I bought a bonnet on ebay, thought it was Northampton, turned out to be Nottingham. Made a day of it and drove up there and pack with my partner to collect it (~200-220) mile round trip. Just glad I had a car practical enough to fit a bonnet in wink

used a Renault Kangoo to shift a frogeye bonnet from Devon to Berks...It swallowed the bonnet whole.

Why has Batman's suit got armholes in the wrong place? Has he had an accident?
