I had another thread about changing my runflats to regular tires. I am giving this update here as oppossed to the BMW forum as it may be of equal use to all car owners.
These appear to be fine lower cost alternatives to the usual standby brands. Tire Rack give outstanding reviews. I paid $122 each for the fronts (225 40 R18) and $177 each for the rears (255 35 R18).
After warming up, I find that they grip like glue in hard turns, are very quiet, and of course ride far better than runflats. I am pleasantly pleased with them so far. I know many use Falkens, etc. I simply want to bring these up a yet another good alternative. smile

This make gets rave reviews from stateside Porsche 993 owners on quality and price. I don't think they're available in the UK at least not under that name.

I have the HTRZ IIs on my XJS, I am happy with them. The IIIs are supposedly far ahead of those previous models. So far, they have impressed me.

Sumitomo, Dunlop and Falken are all the same company.

IIRC Goodyear Dunlop is essentially Sumitomo in the EU so it's not a brand we're like to see here any time soon.

From Wiki: "1999 — Goodyear Dunlop enters joint venture with Sumitomo Rubber, effectively acquiring rights to the Dunlop name in North America and Europe."
Goodyear is listed on the "Most admired American Companies" list. Long history those folks have, since 1893. smile
