Hello,

I am fairly sure you can't just send an airbag through the normal post in case it goes off.

That being the case what are the options are there any specialist couriers ?

Just put it in a huge box. Or wrap it in stretchy stuff.

i bought a steering wheel complete with airbag from a specialist breakers last week and it just came through a normal TNT account. However, when sending things from my work with Pyrotechnics we have to use specialist shippers and it costs thousands!

Why would it go off? They don't just randomly go off when you're driving over a cobbled street, do they? They require an electrical charge to fire.

I would like to see the delivery drivers face when the parcel he is holding suddenly becomes a large air bag for a split second..

Every courier seems to have an exclusion in their T&Cs for airbags so there must be some reason they won't carry them.

I have heard web-rumour of 'transit pins' that can be removed to make them safe to send, anyone know about these ?

Are you selling or buying?

If you're buying, and it's far away, why not make it a road trip? Could get a few nights in a hotel and make a weekend.

If you're selling, tell 'em collection only. Sounds like too much hassle to bother.
