Not for them to drive but ones that as a male might not actually, actively put them off, things like Subaru Impreza's (been on Scoobynet ten years btw) seem to put them off big style, I remember as a 19 year old getting a Mk1 Golf GTI and my fortunes improving somewhat in that department compared to my Capri, I know ladies arent that fickle (some arent) but what have your experiences been and has your better half ever expressed an opinion after the fact as to the influence of your wheels at the time you met. I think that despite the derison and scorn that was poured on the original TT by Petrolheads it was trult a "Vaginal Lodestone" (c) Viz 1991

I had a Manta GTE at the time I met my wife, she seemed to like it despite having access to much nicer cars.

Both my mk1 MX5s have scored highly with girls. So much so that one entirely non petrolhead former girlfriend bought a mk2 after we broke up, and it's now a treasured thing.

The NSX divides opinion. Some love it, some are quietly embarassed by it. Only one was 'meh'.

I think Clarkson is pretty much on the money with the Kristin Scott Thomas test

My dad always said to me when i started to learn to drive that girls dont care what you drive as long as it keeps them warm and dry and dosent break down.....

This coming from a man who owned a '69 Fastback Mustang before he met my mother.....

Thanks dad...!!

The only women you'll impress by what car you drive are gold diggers so anything with a "flashy" badge, Bimmers, Porsche, Audi, basically anything that would sugget you might have a bit of cash that you might spend on them.

If you want a relationship get a Volvo and a puppy, easy.

I would say anything thats been/being looked after.

A clean car, including interior is a big plus.

I would be more impressed by a clean car that is being looked after rather than a car with an impressive badge on.
Goes to show what kind of person they are I guess.
Same as their house/flat, a clean one is better than a big one, so to speak lol.

Going by what i see round my neck of the woods - any 4x4 at all. The only tenant being that the biggest must go the blondest and petite-ist.

Any Peugeot Convertable, 206 CC etc..

New Mini.

Just look around you, and you'll soon enough see which cars mostly have women drivers...

EDIT: Corrected - not Coupe but convertable!

My OH loves her Mk2 MR2 but every time she sees an Elise or Exige she goes on about how much she'd like one and I have to dissuade her by various means.

The MR2 is a great shopping car and if she had an Elise she'd either have to take my car to Tesco on Sunday morning or, worse still, I'd have to take it.

That reminds me of Clarkson's qoute when testing the 997 Turbo. He said something like:

"and of course you'll have a thin wife; you drive a porsche"

I love the Ariel Atom because I love its supercharger scream and the KTM X Bow. Both fab cars to be in on the road and on track.

Same experience, driving the DB9 got attention but the RR was the one the girls from work wanted to be taken out in, odd

My Alfa 147 was a hit with the ladies. My girlfriend says she preferred it to my current Scooby. I've had a few girls comment on how they like the WRX though.

I'm not on the market for a bird so I don't really care what they think of my car. I know it's legendary!
