Corsa B's and tailgating... FOOLS
Discussion
On my way home this evening I was being followed by a red corsa B with poorly applied arches and plastic wheel trims. He proceeded to get within 1 inch of my bumper, and when I blasted the horn he just got even closer. I noticed his car was full, with 2 girls in it (15 year old car scratching scrote maybe?
) who were laughing by the looks of it. Think of every single stereotype you have of some youths in a clapped out Corsa, and you actually have a spot on image.
I don't think when they were laughing had given any thought as to what happens to a K reg Vauxhall Corsa in a collision at 70mph however.
Will these idiots ever learn? I fear only the hard way, via the loss of some limbs.
This isn't so much a rant, more of a warning, on the off chance that these 5 are still alive by the end of the night.
If you're around Telford and see a knackered corsa with the reg K9**JBE, don't go near him if you value your car.
Or if you have a Defender/Hummer, barge his car into a lake and post up some pics. We could do with a larf.
bdr
(LEGAL : I would never condone driving into a Vauxhall Corsa at high speed in any 4x4 vehicle. Think of the scratches it might leave!)
EDIT - I only omitted part of the numberplate so I don't get b
ked, I will gladly give the remaining 2 characters to anybody who asks for it.

by any chance did it have/could you hear the sound of a loud exhaust coming from it? if i so i think the f
ker did the same to me aswell...........mind you i'm always getting corsa's up my arse. i think they try and prove a point to there mates that they can keep up with a car doing the speed limit.

kers out, whilst travelling at 70mph+ it was easy enough to come out of fifth gear and slide towards reverse, just enough to contact the reverse light switch and illuminate the reverse lights, it certainly sorted any tailgaiters out.

I heard the distinct roar of a 1.2 engine. I think he had done something to the exhaust, though I was listening to music so it's hard to tell. The paintwork on it was crap, the front grille was wonky (or looked it in my rear view), and it had SRi bits plastered all over it.

I think I may have had an encounter with this idiot around Shrewsbury.
I was waiting at lights on a roundabout, in the left-most lane, waiting to go off on to a dual carriageway with two lanes. As the lights started changing and I began my moving off procedure, I saw him approaching me in the right-hand lane at around 15-20 mph, and carried on pulling off as usual, accelerating up to 70 as I normally would (with a bit of gusto, but not pushing it too far).
He then pulled back in behind me and glued himself to my back bumper for the next three miles.

It was probably the same guy, the only other 'boyracer' red corsa I've seen around here has a very distinctive 747 tail mounted to the back of it.I was waiting at lights on a roundabout, in the left-most lane, waiting to go off on to a dual carriageway with two lanes. What an absolute ****.

Well you could have thrown a can of Red Bull at him for the typical Pistonheads answer.
or, you could have just moved over, let him on his way to have his accident without involving you & carried on your journey in a nice serene manner.
Brake testing or any other action seems to incite them more rather than teach them a lesson. Life's too short to get involved in tit for tat measures.

My MG can go one better - what with neutral sitting between first and second, and with reverse left and down the customary left-right shake of the gearstick to check the car is in neutral before letting the clutch out in traffic often causes a worried look from the driver behind.

Are you implying that I slammed on my brakes and deployed my oil slicks Sir?
It was on a dual carriage way, I pulled in once I had overtaken the car I was passing in the first place.
