Why is PistonHeads called PistonHeads?

Why not PetrolHeads?

Was it already taken?

The other day my Father in Law said someone was a Piston Head, when what he meant was Petrol Head, got his phrases mixed up because we talk about PistonHeads a fair bit.

Could the phrase Petrol Head, ever be replaced by Piston Head?

at a guess, it was once known as both, but one route received more traffic than the other, so became the preferred brand..

IIRC there was an issue around trademarking the Petrol Heads name.

How about Motorheads but that might cause some confusion with a certain band.
