taxing a sorn car

just brought a car on sorn. have insured it so i could drive it home but how do i tax it as im guessing it will take a while for the dvla to update me as the new owner on the v5. i have the previous owners sorn documents but obviously in their name. help!

You have the little green slip. Pop into Post Office with MOT Cert, Insurance Doc and that bit of paper and job's a good 'un.


edit - and just for the record, you're not allowed to drive the car home if it's not taxed and still SORN. Only way you can drive it untaxed is if it's booked in for MOT.
