This is why. How the hell have you managed two bans and nine points in no more than three years of driving anyway?!

lol, i thought u would all ask that!

got a ban for driving with no insurance, which was a genuine mistake, misunderstood the driving other cars third party only clause,

few for speeding, dodgy numberplates, and as i moved house and didnt reply to a speeding ticket, one happened to snowball without my knowledge, next thing i know ive got 6points, a hefty fine, and because it was just short of my 2years got my licence revoked, so i had to do it all again and start with 9 points frown

An IN10 and an MS90 by the time your 20? jeez i've never come across such a history!, but i wont dwell us saying your screwed etc really won't help the situation best advice is run loads of insurance quotes, phone as many insurance companies as possible although the main stream ones are unlikely to touch you.
Car insurance rating groups are a rough guide its more down to the individual insurers statistics on each vehicle it may be worth you getting an insurance broker to do the legwork, of course adrian flux can search for you i presume, email Ash from flux im sure he can help if not point you in the right direction of another broker!.
Good luck buddy you'll need it thumbup

p.s. also let us know how you get on so that we can point future ph'ers with the same situation to this thread nothing worse than an unfinished thread biggrin

Also, a Peugeot 306 2.0 D Turbo/HDi would probably be the cheapest thing to insure that fits the bill.

That's not 2 bans, that's 1 ban and 1 license revoke.

cheers for the input, as for it not being 2bans, it may aswell be, apart from once i got my licence back, the other i had to do the tests again to get it back!

my insurance runs out in december, and i turn 21 in feb, is it worth me waiting those couple of months till i renew, will i get that much of a price difference? maybe could go on rents insurance temoparily?

Does this mean on your parents' insurance?

If so, that's not a bad idea, since most insurances will calculate your age as at the beginning of the insurance, so waiting to get the extra year may well be worth it.

However, if you are planning to use your parents' insurance to front your main use of a car, you could be heading for another IN10.

yes i means parents! sorry! my dad has a work van as well as his car, i maybe could get on the insurance for that but i doubt it and its only got 2seats, and i would have swmbo and lil creasde to escort around!

my birthday is on the 1st of feb, and my insurance runs out on the 17th dec

just seems silly that id pay a higher premium just for a month and half worth frown dilemmas dilemmas

maybe just bite the bullet, good thing is, im in my 3rd yr of no claims smile so that helps!
