London cyclists - maybe not most dangerous, but certainly most careless and oblivious to road rules

To avoid sweeping generalisations based on type, I shall just give one recent example - the lycra warrior pedalist who came flying the wrong way down a narrow curved one-way street at me in Ventnor on Saturday and then shouted at me for not bouncing my car up the kerb to avoid him.

Girls an inch from the steering wheel, eye's fixed on the road in front, no regard for vehichles to the sides/rear, middle lane of the Mway, 55 maybe 60MPH. They look like the whole experiance of driving is alien to them and they look scared. Yet these divs are the pinnacle of driving perfection in the eyes' of insuarnace companies!

Anything with tinted windows, Polish drivers, Mini-cabs, Pizza Delivery drivers, people who have their fog lights on 24/7, people who have L.E.D lights on the front of their cars and people who ride Ducatis because they could fall apart any second.

Treat everyone on the road as idiots and you'll not go far wrong.

In all fairness I guess that's not a bad perspective to take

This is easy -

1) Old people
2) Chavs
3) Polish drivers in their knackered 3 series BMW
4) Girls/women who sit within an inch from the steering wheel, totally oblivious to the concept of driving
5) People who have no concept of what the stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel is (an except if you have an import, as that is on the right). fking use the bd. The manufacturer didn't just put it there for fun, halfwit!!!

... to which I would add just about any 3-series BMW, Audi A4, Toyota Carina or anything with non-standard wheels or blacked-out windows.

Oh, and any vehicle displaying one of these.

I could genuinely believe they are handed out to drivers who who driving that falls below an acceptable standard when tested.

I remember being in the passenger seat once at night with a girl like this, after some somewhat questionable driving we found our way on to the A1. Driving along its late a night and dark, so little traffic.

All of a sudden I hear a sharp intake of breath as we are driving along and I can see her going for the brake.

I quickly reassure her that those lorries are in a lay-by and she isn't about to hit them, that's what green cats eyes mean.

Never got in a car with her again.

I'm going to add another one, possibly a London one again as we get quite a few embassies about, so anyone with a 'D' in their number plate as they are diplomatic drivers and they don't give a flying F about anyone on the road
