Driving back from Brighton today with a BMW 5 series plod car behind fully marked up. So i am driving sensibly (i always do) and came to the roundabout at the end of the Culfail tunnel. A transit flat bed in front was lekaing fluid quickly and it had been raining so i assumed it was water. As i came to pull up behind it the front nearside locked up and traction control got involved, so i immediately thought oh st he's dropping diesel, or something just as dangerous. I then followed him round the roundabout trying to avoid the spillage which was near on impossible, as a result i got a bit of understeer followed by overtseer. The police car could not follow me out the exit due to traffic but had seen me get it sideways. I then saw in my rear view mirror his lights flick on and quickly shot out the junction and round the roundabout. Except he didn't, he spun off the exit and ended up facing the wrong way. At the junction on the way out of Lewes i jumped out my car sharpish and ran over to the van driver to tell him what had happened and what he is leaking, but he just drove off. Any bikers would have been inserious trouble, it wasn't a slow leakage it was coming out the back at a consierable rate. Anyone else get a bit un-stuck yesterday afternoon around 5 0 clock, on the A26?

And that's a funny story?

Lucky the police were on the scene, could have been nasty.

It's stories like that, that constantly put me off taking up biking.

I've slipped on diesel before whilst exiting a garage forecourt and that was scary enough on four wheels!
