It would seem that for many of those whose "Toyota surged out of control", nearly every one was guilty of creating the accident they were so keen to avoid.

Here's a tip. The pedal on the right makes you go faster. The pedal to the left makes you go slower. Press either pedal to the floor, and you'll either go extremely fast until you hit something and stop extremely quickly, or you'll stop extremely quickly and live to see another day.

I love the statement at the end of the Wall Street Journal report...

something along the lines of "We've sued toyota, we won but have now been proved wrong, so we were right to begin with and we're not listening to you right now... *puts fingers in ears* la-la-la-lal-la-lala-la-laa!"

Call me a cynic, but I wonder how much Toyota advertising goes through Rupert Murdoch's empire (including the WSJ)

Although I particularly like the statement from the woman who crashed her Camry along the lines of 'anyone that tells me I made a mistake is ageist and sexist... even if the police and toyota have proven conclusively that I did actually make a mistake'

The best bit is that she needs to check to see where here feet are:

"I looked down and my foot was still on the brake, so I did not have my foot on the gas pedal," she said.
