Hi all

I've just bought a series 3 landrover as my new off road toy/shooting hack. However she needs a bit of bodywork so I'm going to give her a new coat of paint while I'm at it.

So I need ideas for a colour scheme, I don't want anything too out there, currently thinking of something like urban camo, zebra stripe or maybe gulf racing

Anybody got any better ideas?

Looks like a nice straight one with the desirable tropical roof. Don't ruin it - series motors always best kept with their original patina and colour.

+1 - keep it original and just tidy it up!

Martini Racing colours - white with multi-blue/red striping.

I would either -

a) Keep it exactly how it is. Hard to beat a patinated Landy.

or

b) Repaint in its original colour scheme. That pale green/white roof is a great colour combo on those.

I recall seeing (ages a go) a pic of a 911 done in WWII german desert camo; a light sandy colour with random green blotches, it looked great!

That looks amazing, though if I did paint it camo wouldn't it be better to do it in a period scheme. Howabout falkland islands winter colours?

That grey/white/black camo combo looks shocking! If you are going down the camo route go for desert stylee. At least it will be a tad more original than most that you see.
