Any idea of a budget?
Also what sort of car are you after or doesn't it matter?

Welcome.

A few questions.

Budget
Space requirements
Petrol or diesel.

Give us something more than "Starlet" and we might be able help.

How old are you? What's your budget? What will you use the car for - commuting etc.

Budget usually helps here, but I would say from the offset, ANYTHING BUT THE STARLET! And I mean anything, if somebody offers you a blind we with a saddle it will be better than the Starlet

If it were my money I'd be looking at a 51-52 plate Ford Fiesta, it's not going to set the world on fire but should be reasonably reliable and not too crippling on the insurance, you could also look at 206's and corsas, again nothing special but will more than do the job.

Thats the same money as Topgear had. Volvo 850 T5!

Or on a more serious note, as said above, the corsas and fiestas are well in your price range. For something a little bit bigger, early Focuses and Astra H. 1.4 petrols are ok on economy and deemed by insurance companies to be fairly sedate.

What about an impreza 1.5/1.8?
Maybe they dont have all the power of the 2.0l turbo but they look near enough the same with the bodykit!

An absolutely bombproof little car. But you'd only know that if you'd ever owned one.

Okay point taken I am being incredibly biased based on only being driven about in one, I just found it too small and pokey and it felt a bit flimsy.

Micra? I know they are boring but so cheap to run and insure.
I got my neice one recently for when she passed her test, but seems like I was a bit optimistic.
Let me know if your interested well within your budget
