"The 30-year-old has lined the walls and floor of the double unit with specialist tiles imported from Italy which help reflect flecks of dirt on the cars."

Not sure about the floor, but the walls look like white paint to me. . . . .

Good guyis Gurcharn; I believe he is on PH too. A full-on detail may be pricey, but considering the attention to detail and time/effort it takes (these guys are perfectionists), I reckon it's good value for money. It's the expensive waxes that bump the price up after all.

I have spoken to Gurchan several times and recommended him to a friend who used him to detail one of his cars. A true car enthusiast. And a nice bloke as well.

Good luck to him.

Like it said in the article. Its pretty relative.

Spending £7k on a million pound car seems cheap when people spend £500 detailing a £10k car.

Price seems very high, know plenty of guys who do this type of work and their prices aren't anywhere near this.

Oh, just realized it's a daily mail story, hence all numbers are to be taken with a pinch of salt.

hehe

I remember an article where they priced a standard Gallardo at £500,000.

Must admit though that having seen a detailed car, the results were very impressive. I'd love to get it done once, but I fear that it won't be on my Focus.

Get it done on your focus, costs about £125-£150 for a decent job, and the results will blow you away. It's like driving home in a new car, and with the sealant done well you save the price on washing it for a good few months.

I would like to see the difference between a £500 detail and a £7k + detail. I'm fairly sure that they'd be of a very similar standard to the "untrained" eye. I suppose a wax made from the tears of baby Jebus bumps up the price a tad though wink

Cheers, i'll look into it - must admit (and without doing any searching) I thought that the price would be £400ish.

As mentioned, the results from the clean I saw blew me away.
