or something very like it.. Bit of a bid, then the Dreadnought supercharger kit = 400bhp for new Focus money

It ticks all my boxes, but I'd be willing to consider something else if the PH massive can find a better way to spend my green..

Well it seems a tad expensive for something that it's not made anymore . If you just want an estate I can't think of anything else for year / miles . Maybe an Lexus is300 ?

I've always liked them, so I say go for it. Good lump of metal that.

I'd be somewhat concerned with buying a car that the manufacturers have left you to develop.

The V8 seems to keep it's price better than the normal stuff. they handle well and are of course likely to become collectors cars in the future due to the unique RWD set-up. The old Stang engine isn't that powerful but I know someone who has the saloon and he loves it. I'd rather pay nearer 8k but then 20k miles isn't much for this engine. I'd certainly consider it.

You can also service it yourself with an old fork, being a self-maintaining American engine. You do need to take the nose off to get at some stuff but it's easy enough. The engine will probably run forever.

Other V8 estates you could consider:
A4 Avant (a bit over £10k though)
Merc C43
Merc E55

Or the coolest estate ever made - RS2. Won't depreciate either.

Not sure about the Audi - would need to be an S line ( I couldn't be without the Imagine)
Mercs look interesting though . . . .

If you can get a cheeky bid accepted and stick on a super you'll never stop laughing at the noise and the pace! It'll be an evil laugh too; less of a ha ha ha haaa and more of a MUWAH HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAA!

Do you actually need a salon/estate, as in 4 doors, 5 seats and a boot?

The MG is pretty sorted in terms of chassis (although you can always improve it), but it should be fun and a good drive.

400hp it ain't going to be slow either.

Anything specific that you are hinting at?

Chrysler 300C touring springs to mind as being another big V8 estate. A bit agricultural by comparison to the other suggestions though.

Get it bought, then Dreadnought it.

Nowt to discuss really, would rather have that than your baby blue Fiat drop top.
