Bit of a gimmick, but you can get "free" magazines using the points

I never make a purchasing decision based on nectar, but I pick up the points if I go there anyway.

If you shop at Sainsburys or fill up at sainsburys or BP its probably worth it. It will take years for the average person to accumulate a significant number of points though. Think I have 5000 after 2 years. That's enough to get me a Philips nose hair trimmer. Nice!

This. I've got a Nectar card and Tesco Clubcard which I use if I can, but it doesn't affect my shopping habits.

At least I don't think it does...
