For some reason I see more and more peeps with expensive cars holding mobile phones to their ears whilst driving.. Do they not realise you can ask for "Hands Free" as an option ?????

Or are they just too "cheapskate" or think themselves "above the law" to not bother complying with the laws of the land ??

You would have thought that for a couple of hundred quid extra on the price of a 40k or above car they would have just asked them to throw one in..

Or am I being a little to pedantic here ?

Nope I've seen people driving cars which should have "handsfree" kits, holding a mobile to their ear.

It's not difficult to drive and hold a phone at the same time.I have even seen people smoke,re-tune the radio and even turn around to bk their kids without crashing.

Handsfree is generally crap reception.

I drive around 40k miles a year and have no issues with "Hands Free" reception.. Guys I work with have no issues either..

And Your first comment about it being not difficult to drive whilst multi tasking doesnt take you outside the boundaries of the law.. Sorry..

It's because they're thick s and either can't be arsed, don't know how to do it, don't care that driving one-handed is a bit dangerous when you're not able to quickly get the other hand back on the wheel or do indeed consider themselves above the law.

We have some great ones round here which IMO are even more silly.

1. The "classic neck cradle" "I'm not touching the phone." - but you are according to the letter of the law.

2. The "walkie-talkie" where they put it on speakerphone and hold it to their mouths like you would a CB mic.

3. The "loving caress" where they hold it with the opposite arm to the side of the head where the phone is being held in an attempt to disguise their actions.

Utter wkers the lot of em.

Yeah you're right, you're unlikely to kill anyone whilst shop lifting.

Then buy a better quality product !!! Like I said "Cheapskate" seems to be a problem..
Why spend upward of 40k on a car and have a nice fancy "I phone" type thingy but not bother with a decent Hands Free.. No logic at all !

Well dont be a cheap skate and buy a £10 hands free kit... all the parrot etc bluetooth kits I've heard have been crystal clear.

Yet if you talk on the phone and drive at the same time, you will more than likely run over 2 or 3 people before you get to the end of the road.Hmmm,ok then

Shirley the reception will be crap or not crap irrespective of whether a phone is hands free or not? Do you mean the connection to the speaker is crap?

See it far to often round here, really p????s me off! another part of society thimkimg they are above the law and far to important to comply.

syncing by bluetooth takes seconds to set up FFS just do it!

I think anyone who has handsfree in their car and refuses to use it should pay double when it comes to fine time!

I'm unlikely to kill anyone whilst talking on the phone while driving too. In fact, I'd say it's unlikely that I'd kill anyone if I was a rapist, paedophile, bank robber, jewel thief or involved in all manner of other unsavoury crimes. What's your point or are you just being a sensationalist mong?
