Over the last couple of days I have turned into a bloody hippy and have been cycling to and from work. The route home is easier than the route up (as I work at the top of a hill). Cycling home yesterday, come to the bottom of the hill, on a main road (A350 outside Shaftesbury, Warminster bound, if anyone knows it). Anyway, there is a broken down discovery at the bottom, with a line of 20 or so cars behind it. So this prat in a 1968 blue Vauxhall Viva about ten cars back decides that he wants to just pass everything.

Thus he drives directly at me.

What a tosser. Not only was I cross that he was driving at me, but he had no where to go if a 44 tonne truck, for example, had come down. He would not have stood a chance. Silly prat. If I see him again parked up whilst I'm with the Triumph, I will explain how he is giving the classic car community a bad name, and to never, ever, drive at me again. The look of terror on his face, especially when i started shouting 'fking stupid ' at him said it all.

I'm not an angry man, before you all say the OP should calm down, nor do I claim to be the world's greatest driver. However, I would never have done that. That was stupidy on a whole new level.

Nice to vent.

You cycle up that hill? you're a brave, and probably quite knackered by the time you get to the top man.

Used to work in East Knoyle, an enthusiastic but talentless lad I worked with managed to roll 2 cars coming down that.

Ah, must confess I didn't cycle up it, that would be brave, and also incredibly stupid! haha. I go up th A350, until I get to the motcombe turning on the right, then cycle into motcombe, then go up the hollow, and in to shaftesbury.

Fun (generally) going down it though! (fun in the car as well hehe)

I was once behind a chav in a barry'd up 206 who had been driving like an utter tt for the whole drive, tailgating, inappropriate overtaking etc. Going up Hart hill, we went around the gentle right hander with the turning to hart hill farm on the left, he moved over (presumably to taking the 'racing line innit', drove up the bank, and nearly put his car on its roof. Karma (or Carma) is a bh. I would have laughed, but the scrote fired mud onto the bonnet of the triumph, which i had cleaned, polished and waxed the day before...
