Help with fixing the headlight

Really need done help here, one of my headlights stopped working and on closer inspection one of the clips that connect to the bulb holder has corroded and now snapped of... Anyone know how I can fix this or purchase a clip? I managed to get a producer for the light as well...just my luck eh!

Can you explain what I'm looking at in the pics (maybe annotate them in MS Paint)?

Which car etc? Can you get a part for it from the dealer?

Do you have a soldering iron?

It must be French if the lamp corroded. Just scrap it, and buy a new one, it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Probably best to go to a breakers yard and, erm, you know... 'borrow' a new plug from a scrapper and splice it back into your wiring loom.

Sorry should be more specific - it's a 2005 golf mk5 with standard halogen lights, the first picture is the clip I need from the internals of the headlight. Called the dealer and they said I need a whole new headlight! I'm trying to find a written off golf with a damaged headlight but, no luck so far even though I've tried every advert on eBay! If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated
