I'm trying to retrim a knackered old centre console but i'm having trouble finding some half decent bits..

One of the things i'm after, for example, is a gear shift ring.. none of that flimsy richbrook saxo chav tat, something substantial. A great whacking ring of thick stainless about 15cm in diameter should do the job, or at least something close to that.. but having looked around I can't find any decent car trimmers or places that might sell anything like that.

Unless the great knowledge of PH can come up with some ideas it looks like i'm off to the fabricators..

Cheers!
Dave.
