Went to Kwik Fit yesterday...

And was impressed!
I'm taking my mum's Fiesta on a trip to Wales tonight, and I just wanted to have a few things sorted:
1) Aircon wasn't blowing cold
2) I suspected that the tracking was out
3) Front wheels needed balancing as there was a fair bit of steering wheel vibration at speed
Well, I went in there and they set about sorting the air con immediately - they regassed it but it turns out the compressor has died, so no charge for that.
I told them about the wheel balance, so they checked that for free and sorted it for a tenner. Then they offered the free tracking test - just what I needed. The very pleasant ex-Paratroop Regiment fitter showed me under the car and extended my knowledge of track rod ends and the like, before pointing out that the wheels were 4mm, 5.5mm, 6.5mm and 12mm out of alignment! So, another £20 and that's all sorted.
Was there for no more than an hour.
I was wary about visiting KF in the first place, but my local garage at least didn't seem too bad at all. There was one fairly mongish looking fitter, though thankfully he didn't go anywhere near my car.

£550 is near enough makes no difference what they charged my gf's mum for her Megane a year or two ago. Winced after hearing that. The bracket keeps breaking though, and at least they have to keep redoing it for free under warranty
