Hi,

does anyone know if it possible to get classic car insurance on your dialy, Car is 1998 Celica. Not garaged and my only car.

Just had Insurance renewal through and it's Barmy! Got to be a cheaper option, thought classic was the way to go if so any recomendations for companies.

May be other threads on this, but looks like the search is not working

Thanks all

Del

Difficult I think, most want a classic as a second car - or at least you would have access to another vehicle (like company car) for normal duties as most accidents happen at shops/car parks/daily commutes !!

Yes you can, as long as you have access to another car (usually). If you need it for commuting though you can forget it (again, usually).

I'm no expert & the newest classic I have is an 83 but I'm sure some companies stipulate a certain number of years before a vehicle is classed as a s classic. I don't think 12 years will be enough for at least some companies.

I use mine as a daily. It's on a classic policy.

It's on an unlimited mileage policy, listed uses are social domestic, pleasure and commuting. The car is 37 years old. It was declared to the insureres as being my only car.

It can be done.

Rich

Most companies will say at least 15 years old for a classic policy. I used my Dolomite Sprint to commute as my only car for 18 months (powersliding on every roundabout good, 15mpg bad!) on a classic policy.

Sure! I'm insured through Footman James.
