Unfortunately my mum has had her driving licence revoked due to Alzheimers & I have been asked to sell her car for her.

I have put details into the buy any car website (including damage listed below) & they have offered £2200 I just want to confirm if the valuation is reasonable & if its worth me advertising privately or not?
(TBH I can't really be arsed with hassle of dealing with having to go round there every time someone wants to view)

The car is a fiesta finesse 1.3 3 door registered Dec04 with FSH (independent) & 1 owner from new with only 9k miles.

Unfortunately the car has a dent in the front o/s wing & scratches on rear bumper apart from that its in condition you would expect for such a low mileage car

I'd appreciate any help with valuation or ideas on easy hassle free sale.

Edited as it's a finesse not encore

Thanks
Howard.

£2100 is what the online valuation offers if this helps.

With that kind of mileage would've thought a wee bit more? But depends how bad the scratches/dents are I guess.

It should be worth more than that with that mileage. I'd suggest phoning around your local independent dealers and see if any of them would be interested in buying it. Similar cars on Autotrader are retailing at £3995 so a dealer should be willing to pay more than £2200, if you can make it to the Midlands I'll buy it off you!

Thanks for the info looks like I should be aiming for around £3k.
I'm still debating whether to sell as is for that price or get dent sorted out then sell.

Thanks again.

What colour is it. It would be popular as a first car so the colour would be quite important. If a desirable colour (black silver etc.) i would put it up as is at 2750 ono and see who bites.

If I were you I'd give it a go. Sort the paintwork out and then get it advertised. Something like that shouldn't depreciate much if at all in a month or so, and if you have no luck selling it I'm sure you'll still get good money from a dealer for it.

Rotten news, never mind the car, good luck with your Mum.
Thanks yes not great just hoping that any progression is slow.
