An MR2 for £750??
Discussion
Some may know I'm looking for a cheap car, I've sourced some funds taking me up to the £800 mark (as opposed to £400!) I've seen an MR2 1994(L) automatic with 84k on the clock for £750, I know the auto's fetch less but I would fancy something with a little pazzaz.
Do they really go this cheap or have I stumbled across one to avoid?
Linky (if it works)

I'd look for a manual one instead, an auto MR2 is just wrong.
A manual for less than £800:

both of them jap imports thus iffy to insure.
since when? never heardof anyone havin a problem. only issue i had was autoglass telling me a new windscreen was £1200 because it was an import. got one for £120 from a competitor. toyota garage had no problem with the car either.I picked up my 1988 MK1 for 1k and thought I got a good deal, the Auto and lack of Tbar I would think might bring it down but I think I might be a little weary at that cheap. There is one for sale near me almost identical to that, that I know is in good nick if you want me to ask his price?
Just sold my '95 na for £1250, good car. A lot of car for the money. There are so many on the Market that they are fairly cheap. Great cars though as long as you have patience when working on them! So much engine in a tiny space! Plus I'm a short arse!
Still have a turbo as a daily driver and it is quite happy keeping pace on runs!

one of the possible benefits of an auto is that it stands less chance of having been thrashed to within an inch of it's life in the past
id look at it another way.the sort of person buying an auto mr2 isnt that interested in cars and it may not have been serviced or looked after properly (obviously some have no choice due to a dissability or inability to use a manual)

As an aside what are mk2's like as motorway hacks, i may need something cheap soon
