This we can put up with. It's when you start keeping a spreadsheet of MPG achieved and regaling us with tales of how you extracted an extra 0.3 of an MPG by folding the door mirrors in and driving everywhere at 38mph. . . . .

The novelty wears off eventually. 6500rpm of usable rev range is much handier for overtaking. And driving.

Ive bought a Nissan Almera 2.2 DCI 136 as a commuter thinking it would be similar to my Skoda Fabia VRS.
Its a rubbish Renault engine that hits a brick wall at 3000 revs, so the only usable power band is from 1500-3000 revs. Useless!!
I did enjoy my VRS with an www.angeltuning.co.uk remap to 190BHP.

The backbox has fell off mine and I am having to wait for a replacement, it now revs like a petrol and sounds like something for towing sheep and hay bales.

But it is amusing that the lack of back pressure makes the turbo spool too quickly and causes the engine to run out of fuel.
