Car inspection services

Are they any good?
I am in Oxford and have found a 4x4 in Belfast I am keen on.
If possible, I would have liked an independent report on it before I take a day or two off to go and have a look.
Any advice greatly received.

Generally, the services offered by the RAC and similar are very good.

They will generally pick up any serious problems like accident repair, chassis damage ( this won't always show up on insurance reports if it is a single car accident .. which is relatively common on M3s and Subarus for example )

They also give a good idea about daamge to paint and interior that you may miss, they are very thorough.

I lot of he time, they pay for themselves as they provide enougth bargaining tools to reduce the price of the car.

I personally belive that it is essential for any car over 5k unless you have been proffessionaly trained yourself.
