Aftermarket cup holders?
Discussion
I have a Focus of 2000 vintage, which was designed I imagine before Starbucks and Costa, etc got popular!
That was explain why the shallow cup holders have holes for mug handles (mugs?! WTF?!) which are useless at holding modern coffee cups.. Don't suppose any decent aftermarket alternatives exist? The Focus mustn't be the only car around with s
te holders?

I've had to get one of those horrible things that hang off the inside of the door. Looks rubbish.

My MY03 Megane has two up front, one for a storage pot, the other is okayish, each door pocket has a bottle holder, but the rear armrest has two cupholders better suited to holding petri dishes...

99 vintage A6 had 1 perfect sized, cooled holder up front, 2 inm back, yet the current model has just one, maybe two uypfront, but the armrest has to be raised and you'll knock it when changing gear!!
The solution is simple.
You need an aftermarket mug!

One like this is a couple of quid. It is thermally insulated and you can drink through the lid - thus avoiding spillages.
You simply decant the coffee from the w
ky free cup (cups - WFT!!) into the mug. Thus avoiding the dribble onto your lap you get from the flimsy cup with its ill fitting cheap plastic lid.
Plus you get the massive bonus that you are not advertising some s
tty chain that can barely manage to produce a cup of something vaguely resembling proper coffee, and which they charge you best part of a fiver for.
