Car vs Tractor, now need a new car
Discussion
So today i was involved in an RTC which consisted of my car being hit, mounted and pushed back by a tractor.
Im rather lucky to be alive. The tractor wheel hit the car and rolled onto the bonnet and headed towards me, luckily the step up to the cabin caught the front of the car and swung the front end round so the wheel only went over a small portion of the windscreen and then off the side of the car.
At the time i was static. The road was rather narrow and i was as far over as possible. the tractor was more my side of the road that his and he didnt brake until on my car (skid marks prove this)
The car is a COMPLETE write off as you can see:

so i need something new.
It needs to be:
Fun,
Fairly quick,
group 15 or below
Sub £1800
A honda
Proper DOHC VTEC
thanks guys

Glad you escaped...
Anyway - Prelude. had a MK3 and the handling is great, you probably will have difficulty getting one though since they are getting long in the tooth, but there are still some good looking MK5's about.
Something like this?
I think the 2.2's are about a group 18, but try it on a comparison website. If you can find a mark 3, they are group 14 for the 4 wheel steering version.
Civics tend to have quite high insurance in comparison to the competition.

I'm glad you're OK.
It seems the tractors are out in force at the moment. I had my own little scare on Sunday with a combine harvester coming towards me in my lane of a national speed limit road - I was going 60, he about 30 or so. In my case I was squeezed onto the verge (the tractor, oddly, decided that he had to stay on the road - despite obviously having better off-roading capabilities than my car).

They are a menance at the moment, I had a brown trouser moment with one on Saturday.
No road fund licence and running on red diesel and they want BOTH sides of the road!

Maybe driving something that would comprehensively flatten just about any passenger car on the road changes how they go about things.

The tractor driver was towing a trailer travelling full chat down a lane where the local kids play (theres a play ground to the side of that road) and he's been known in the past not to brake for anything. He's a bit like senna, puts you in the position to decide if you want to have an accident and lets you decide. he's nearly taken out walkers and the like because as he see's it its up to them to get out of his way.
i've been looking at MB6's (civic 1.8 VTi-S and im very tempted. 180bhp, dohc vtec loads of tweeking potential (nothing chavvy just decent engine mods and a remap). Need to see how much hefalump will give me for the car first though.
