I know we love to create bad driving stereotypes here on PH, whether it be old people, Citroen Picasso owners, polish lorry drivers, middle aged women sitting inches from the winscreen, etc etc. so here's an (as far as I'm aware) new one for you:
It seems almost every time I've witnessed some dodgy driving in recent weeks, whether it be entering a fast road from a slip road at 35mph, sitting in the middle lane of a motorway doing 55mph, driving at 40mph everywhere on country lanes regardless of the limit, swerving across the chevrons of a slip road from lane 2 because they haven't been paying attention to signposts, lack of indicating on roundabouts, gesturing and flashing lights having been overtaken, basically every piece of dithering, incompetent motoring that we love to hate on PH, virtually every one of them has had at least one National Trust sticker proudly affixed to the inside of their windows.
This has been spotted in Audi's, Volvo's, Zafira's, BMW's, with drivers young, middle aged, and old, male and female. For the sake of balance, I have also done my best to spot National Trust stickers on what I would consider to be well driven cars, but to no avail.
Am I (or the girlfriend for that matter) imagining this? And do we have any National Trustees who want to defend their case?

I'm a member of the National Trust
I've got an Elise and a Z4 Coupé and I'm certainly not guilty of holding people up on the roads
edited to say: The sticker isn't actually on my car, because I don't like stickers all over my windscreens, and I have two cars anyway. I keep it seperate and put it up on the dashboard when I'm parked up. I'm a bit worried about someone breaking in to nick it though...

M5 however
Worth mentioning that one of the pieces of driving in question was actually a recent model M5, it kept speeding up as I went to pass it on a dual carriageway... Although I'm willing to put that down to 'BMW driver' if necessary

And yes, I was driving my 1-series at the time

Have one on the S2000. Gets you free parking so reason enough to leave it on.
I have noticed that the vast majority of badly driven cars have those discs with a date on, ban those I say, far more of a danger on our roads...
I understand that quite often surfers will pay reasonably decent money for spare stickers, as they get free parking at some of the better surfing beaches (i.e. Croyde).I have noticed that the vast majority of badly driven cars have those discs with a date on, ban those I say, far more of a danger on our roads...
Not that I've ever rented mine out in return for beer. No. Never.
National trust stickers in Cornwall often means the driver is a surfer (probably a PH sterotype somewhere about that too) , as it makes sense instead of paying £4.50 everytime at a beach car park...
Edit: maybe a surfboard attached to car might be a hint for this type of person though...

That I genuinely never knew!Suffice to say that I haven't seen any surfboards in/on any of the vehicles in question so far, but living in Norfolk (where there is reputedly some surf) I shall keep an eye out in future
