Yeah those darn rich people! It would be even funnier if someone came along and keyed them too!!

Yeah deserve all they get those cos they're err...rich!

rolleyes

Sorry but I don't get why there is such glee when somebody with money has something like this happen to them, would it be as funny if it were a normal car?

Seriously its hardly front page stuff.

All those idiots cruising around there cause massive traffic problems for residents.

I am sure the cars were not damaged and its not like the money is a problem.

Hopefully, a bit of inconvenience will stop them driving round in circles like a bunch of Barry Boys attracting the trenchcoat brigade with their camera phones.

(I do think the cars look cool in that colour however).

Interesting story about the royal family though. They certainly seem to live an extraordinary lifestyle, one rather different to our own monarchy.

C'mon.

Just because thy are rich...doesn't mean they can go around flaunting their cars...and illegally parking.

They aren't special people. They are nice cars...but doesn't mean they shouldn't follow the same rules as everyone else.

I was driving from Knightsbridge towards Sloane Sq on Saturday evening after picking the Mrs up (in a borrowed F430) and the traffic was crawling due to the 'snappers' standing in the road. As I approached, a few of them literally stood in the road in front of me to get their shot, meaning I had to stop. They were doing that to any car that was remotely interesting and gridlocking the street as a result.

Most of the cars on that road were showing Middle Eastern plates.

Normally I'm as elitist as the next PHer, but frankly it's not (just) about jealousy on this occasion.

As a normal person you wouldn't expect to get away with it, so I don't see why they should. It's not as if they're on a state visit or anything, they're just driving to work.

Nothing jealous about it.

I love a nice car as much as the next person.

But, I despise people who think they are above the law....rich or poor.

What's funny about this is the fact that they cause all that trouble and aggrevation for the residents around the area with their antics each year.......and they get away with it. But not this time.

It will mean nothing to them, as they'll easily just pay the fine and carry on. But the fact that a warden has actually clamped them.....outside the store which they also own......is frankly, quite amusing.

Which in turns attracts more people to drive down there which attracts more idiot tourists/provincials which attracts more cars.....etc. etc. etc.

I agree. I suspect they don't. And don't care what you or I think either...

Yep. Nice cars should never be flaunted. Hide them away and don't drive em.

Agree completely. Being clamped is a bh!

But you get the impression that the cars were parked there not expecting that someone would actually come along and have the cajones to clamp them.

The fact that someone has is quite funny.......and what makes it even more funny, is that the owners of the cars own Harrods as well. Makes you wonder if they still would have been clamped had the warden know this hehe

I was thinking that. Cheaper than a lot of places around there I'd imagine. No doubt the Daily Mail have got that wrong, though.
